You’ll provide 1:1 and small group interventions, support EHCP reviews, and help learners gain independence, confidence and positive outcomes. At our centre we aim to create an environment where learning is engaging and tailored to meet the needs of every learner.Job Title: SEN Support CoachLocation: IpswichWorking Hours: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, 1-hour lunch, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Term Time only 38 plus 2 weeks). Some flexibility on these hours may be required.Contract Type: Fixed Term contract until Jul 26 (this contract can be extended depending on the needs of the organisation)Reports to: Centre ManagerSalary: 21,546 gross per annum (FT equivalent 24,570)ResponsibilitiesProvide direct support to learners in both group and individual settingsPlay an active role in classroom and physical activities alongside tutorsGain on-the-job training with continued professional development (CPD)Assist with lesson preparation, schemes of work, Individual Student Plans (ISPs) and Care PlansMaintain knowledge of each learner’s stage of development, assessments and support needsSupport with educational visits and accompany learners when requiredFollow and promote safeguarding, health & safety, confidentiality and data protection policiesQualificationsQualified to PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector) – EssentialGCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above – EssentialL2 / L3 Safeguarding – EssentialSEN qualifications demonstrating knowledge and competency with ASD (autism spectrum disorder)Behaviour management trainingSafeguarding and Equal OpportunitiesTCHC is dedicated to promoting equal opportunities and preventing discrimination for everyone.
