Bouygues Travaux Publics is committed to diversity and is open to all talents.We are looking for a driven and hands-on Materials Technician to join our Marine & Tunnelling team at the Civil Works Alliance, supporting delivery of the Sizewell C project — one of the UK’s most significant low-carbon infrastructure programmes.As part of the CWA, we are helping to build Sizewell C, a 3.2GW nuclear power station that will generate low-carbon electricity for around 6 million homes. The project will supply clean, reliable energy for at least 60 years and is pivotal to the UK’s energy future.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a site-based role that supports cutting-edge civil engineering and nuclear construction. You’ll play a vital part in our materials testing and compliance programme — ensuring that all materials used in our marine and tunnelling works meet the highest quality and safety standards.In this role you will:Carry out concrete, grout, aggregates, and earthworks testing — both on site and in laboratory environmentsSupport development and testing of concrete mixes for tunnel linings and other specialist construction elementsPrepare and deliver trial mixes, monitor material behaviour, and ensure full compliance with technical specificationsWork in accordance with UKAS-accredited lab protocols and SZC quality standardsHelp train junior staff and support continuous improvement in our testing and reporting proceduresMaintain accurate data records and report findings to technical and project teamsWe’ll look to you to bring attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and a commitment to Zero Harm in everything you do. You’ll be a key part of our laboratory and on-site engineering teams, providing high-quality data and insight to ensure the success of this nationally critical project.What we’re looking forPrevious experience working with construction materials in a UKAS-accredited laboratoryNVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant subject (or equivalent)Strong data collection, analysis, and communication skillsA full UK driving licence— this role involves travel between sites including Suffolk and AvonmouthA positive attitude and a desire to keep learning and developingExperience training others or reporting KPIsFamiliarity with risk assessments and method statementsIf you’re looking for a role that combines field and lab work with national impact, and you're motivated by working on a project that’s shaping the future of UK energy, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
