OverviewCivil Project Engineer – Location: ChorleySalary: Competitive + benefitsWe are seeking a motivated Civil Project Engineer to join a growing civil engineering consultancy, working across highways and drainage projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with UK-based design experience to develop their career within a supportive, multi-office team. Role Overview Work alongside Graduate Engineers, Technicians, Project Engineers, Chartered Engineers, and Directors across multiple offices. Manage multiple highways and drainage projects simultaneously, ensuring quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Produce detailed calculations, sketches, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, Site3D, and Causeway Flow (or equivalent). Follow design standards including CIRIA guides, BRE Digest, BS EN 752, and adoptable standards S278, S38, S104. Conduct site visits to verify construction compliance and prepare specifications and technical reports. Support Directors in improving design services and operational efficiency. About You Minimum 3 years\' UK-based highways and drainage design experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, Site3D, Causeway Flow or similar design software. Strong understanding of adoptable highways and drainage standards (S278, S38, S104). Commercial awareness and experience managing project budgets. Confident communicator, capable of consulting with clients and project teams. Self-motivated, driven, and committed to continuous learning. Desirable Working towards Chartered status.
