Located in the county town of Stafford, the Imaging department is very well equipped, with 3 DR rooms, 3 DR Mobiles, 1 Digital Fluoroscopy/DR Room, 4 Digital Mobile Image Intensifiers, 2 x Siemens and 1 x Toshiba Aquilion Prime CT Scanners. Our Radiographers undertake a wide range of imaging examinations through a variety of shifts and on-call. Main duties of the job Are you an experienced and capable Band 6 looking for a new challenge? An enthusiastic and hard-working Band 5 who is ready to progress to a Band 6 within a dynamic and exciting Imaging directorate? Person specification Qualifications and Reg BSc Diagnostic Radiography or DCR (equivalent) Full HCPC Registration Evidence of in-house training in leadership or modality related Experience Minimum of 18 months post qualification experience at Band 5 or above in a NHS organisation Experience of CR/DR x-ray systems Awareness and good working knowledge of QA Experience of a full range of General Imaging services including Theatres, MSK, IP/OPs and trauma imaging Supervision of junior staff and/or student Radiographers Evidence of additional responsibilities on General Modality Experience in CT imaging Experience in Red Dot/Commenting Scheme Skills, Ability and Knowledge Computer literate including Radiology Information Systems/PACs Working knowledge of IR(ME)R 2018, IRR17 and H&S regulations Ability to work under pressure Ability to organise and prioritise (self and others) Experience of Leading a Team/Ability to lead others Ability ot participate in 24/7 rosters and flexible approach Demonstration of conducting audit Ability to work unsupervised / Lone work Important information about your application All correspondence will be sent to you via the email address you applied from.
