Role Overview Preceptorship Psychologist at Practice Plus Group, integrated mental health team across HMP Fosse Way and HMP Five Wells, category C prison supporting males aged 21+. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical support and oversight to the Integrated Mental Health Team (IMHT) through training, supervision, and reflective practice. Undertake psychological assessments and support complex multi‑disciplinary formulations. Deliver and oversee 1:1 psychological interventions and group intervention as part of the Trauma Informed 'Making Sense' Programme. Teach and train healthcare and prison staff; contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research profile. Support the clinical leadership team and supervise Assistant Psychologists. Qualifications Full HCPC registration as a practitioner psychologist. Knowledge of evidence‑based psychological therapies relevant to the clinical needs of people in prison. Experience providing evidence‑based psychological interventions to adults with a range of mental health problems, including complex trauma and neurodiversity. Experience working with mental health forensic population; ideal applicants have experience delivering CBT and compassion‑focused therapies. Trauma‑informed approaches and familiarity with adult mental health presentations, neurodiversity, and complex trauma.
