Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Anaesthetist Consultant to lead and develop Anaesthesia and intensive care services at Scunthorpe General Hospital. The role offers a flexible contract, CESR support, relocation‑friendly opportunities and the chance to contribute to education as an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Hull York Medical School. Responsibilities Deliver first‑class clinical care to patients in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care. Lead, train junior doctors and support medical students through Hull York Medical School. Provide expertise to a varied caseload in a non‑hierarchical, team‑focused environment. Qualifications Full GMC registration with licence to practice. Consultant level training in Anaesthesia, with experience covering Trauma lists and Critical Care. 14 years or more at SAS level. Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English. Desirable Entry on Specialist Register via CCT or CESR within six months of interview. ALS provider certificate or equivalent. Evidence of participation in Clinical Audit, Clinical Research and special interests.
