Job Description The Senior Vice President of Legal and Compliance safeguards the company’s legal and regulatory integrity and provides legal guidance and support to internal stakeholders. As a key member of the leadership team, the SVP serves as the architect of the legal and compliance function and a trusted adviser to the leadership and the board, reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO. The role oversees legal, compliance and related areas to meet evolving needs of customers, employees and other stakeholders. Responsibilities Oversee and develop the legal team, policies, and procedures to deliver consistent, high‑quality service across business units. Manage the legal infrastructure for the parent company and global subsidiaries, ensuring board and shareholder governance actions comply with good corporate governance practices. Oversee the company’s risk management and compliance programs, including professional insurance, data protection, cyber‑security, business continuity and other related initiatives. Build and retain in‑house competence across commercial matters, M&A and financing, IP, international tax (corporate taxation, transfer pricing), immigration and other business‑required areas. Perform other duties as required, consistent with the purpose of this role. Qualifications JD or equivalent from an English, American, Canadian or European accredited law school. 15+ years of demonstrated success leading legal teams in an international environment. Experience applying international business, contract, IP, tax, corporate and common law in a global business environment. Ability to set quality standards and apply expert‑level legal drafting judgment, verifying and elevating work completed by the team. Strong negotiation and mediation skills, capable of leading and resolving high‑complexity matters, building stakeholder trust and supporting leadership as a strategic partner. Fluent in English (reading, writing and speaking); additional languages are a plus. Experience in professional services and/or IT services business is a plus.
