Interim Director of Quality - Further Education Location: Essex Contract: Interim / Fixed-term Duration: 5 January 2026 - End of February 2026 Pay: Competitive day rate (DOE) About the Role Local Education is supporting a Further Education provider in the recruitment of an Interim Director of Quality to cover a short-term leadership requirement from January to February 2026. This is a senior interim role focused on quality, teaching and learning, and would suit an experienced FE leader with a strong understanding of quality frameworks, inspection readiness and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership across quality, teaching and learning Support curriculum leaders and teaching staff to maintain and improve standards Monitor performance data and quality assurance processesPrepare and support the organisation in relation to inspection expectations Act as a senior professional lead during the interim period The Ideal Candidate Proven senior leadership experience within Further Education Strong background in quality assurance, teaching and learning Confident operating at director or assistant principal level Able to step in quickly and provide stability and expertise Available from early January 2026 How to Apply Please contact Local Education directly to discuss suitability.
