Occupational Therapist – NHS Scotland Join to apply for the Occupational Therapist role at NHS Scotland. Job Overview We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Specialist team in Fife and to develop this post within our mental health service. The role will oversee the delivery of Occupational Therapy in both community and in‑patient settings, and you will be actively involved in service redesign work to reshape how Occupational Therapy services are delivered. Responsibilities Deliver Occupational Therapy to people aged under 65 who are experiencing mental health problems. Use effective clinical decision‑making and evidence‑based practices to enable patients to achieve their personal outcomes. Engage with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams across community and in‑patient settings. Contribute to the transformation and development programme for mental health and Occupational Therapy services. Support staff wellbeing and promote a culture of openness, honesty, transparency and teamwork. Assist in the redesign of service delivery and participate in quality improvement initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Existing Band 5 Occupational Therapists or those ready to take the first step in their career. Skills, knowledge, and interest to develop professionally and make a positive impact within mental health. Desire and knowledge of working with mental health clients; experience is not essential but is desirable. Ability to apply evidence‑based practice and adapt interventions to individual needs.
