Senior Import LCL Operator

Our client, a leading provider of Global Storage and Freight Forwarding / Supply Chain Solutions, providing global controlled storage and supply chain services around the UK and the World, are looking for a Senior Import LCL Operator to join their team in Witham, Essex.
On Offer:
* Up to £40K, dependant on skills and experience
* Working hours: 7am – 4pm, Monday to Friday
* Holiday – 20 days plus bank holidays - long service awards including additional holiday days

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Director, working within the company’s growing deep sea import LCL department, handling import sea freight operations from start to finish.
Duties & Responsibilities Senior Import LCL Operator:
* Arranging sea import bookings
* Dealing with overseas offices and partners
* Working start to finish on files
* Processing sales and purchases
* Updating new client bookings in shared drives with pricing
* Looking after key accounts
* Raising Invoices
* Managing direct client accounts
* Ensure customer queries and complaints are resolved efficiently and effectively in line with the companies policies and procedures.
To Be Considered for the Senior Import LCL Operator:
* Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Excel & Word.
* Have a proven background & knowledge of ocean import freight forwarding / shipping.
* Must be able to work under occasional pressure and always to a time scale.
* Able to work with other employees at all levels in a fast pace and sometimes noisy environment, work both independently and under instruction.
