About The Role We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for an Analyst - Commercial to become a vital part of our onsite Commercial Team at Asda House. If you are commercially passionate and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you Position Details: Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm Location: Asda House – Leeds, Hybrid working (2 days per week from home) Contract Type: Permanent Key Responsibilities Support delivery of Category Plan and KPI targets including Asda Sales and profit, in‑stock, and forecast accuracy. Maintain business‑related data and reports, performing regular analysis and updating reports weekly, while also supporting the creation of new reporting when needed. Aid in the promotional planning process, including setting up pre‑ and post‑analysis and forecasting promotional demand based on demand patterns, seasonality, business trends, pricing, and merchandise space. Aid in the inventory management process, providing forecast updates to management and sales teams on a regular basis, tracking sales against in‑store and supplier inventory positions, and working with supply teams to monitor inventory levels. Understand commercial priorities and collaborate with commercial teams to develop forecast and reports in line with category strategy; provide guidance and make recommendations based on data to Asda merchants and IPL supply planning team. Support inventory administrative duties including PO amends and reinstating failures. What are we looking for? Commercially minded experience in a similar role, with the ability to plan, organise and prioritise your workload. Excellent communication skills, able to communicate at all levels and possessing robust written and verbal skills. Ability to present findings to managers, buyers, planners and cross‑functional partners. Advanced IT skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; database knowledge and data‑visualisation skills essential, with a proven track record in interpreting and presenting data to deliver results.
