The Role Lecturer in Accounting & Finance at Global Banking School. Teaching across a range of undergraduate levels as part of the BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Requires flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings and weekends. What you'll be doing Deliver management related modules, develop & deliver comprehensive course materials, undertake learning, teaching & assessment, keep up to date with latest developments and student support practices. Responsibilities All aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met. Developing, updating, and improving course materials as appropriate. Using a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials. Actively engaging in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings and other administrative duties. Understanding and keeping up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices. Working towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression. About You Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable). Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area. Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback. Experience of accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organised student records. Can work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Can work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probation and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent). Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
