Maintenance Technician Join Exemplar Health Care as a Maintenance Technician at the Ribble View care home in Preston (PR1 4UD). This role offers a 40‑hour per week contract with a rate of £13.27 per hour. About the Role Your days will keep the home in top condition, ensuring that fabrics, fittings, fixtures and equipment are safe and functional. No two days will be the same – you’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks that keep the environment welcoming for residents, staff and visitors. Key Responsibilities Undertake decorating and painting tasks throughout the home. Perform gardening and maintenance of outdoor spaces. Handle plumbing repairs and upkeep. Complete tiling work where required. Coordinate external contractors for specialised work. Carry out regular risk assessments, audits and checks. About You We’re looking for someone who embodies our values of fun, integrity, responsiveness, success and teamwork. Ideal candidates will: Demonstrate a broad range of maintenance skills. Possess knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations. Commun effectively, both verbally and in writing. Have digital literacy and understand how IT systems relate to maintenance. Be a collaborative, kind, caring team player. Have, or be willing to pursue, an 18th‑edition Electrical Certificate.
