Aramark UK is hiring a Catering Assistant on a fixed-term contract of 12 months at Bexhill College (TN40 2JG). This is 20 hours /week, Mon-Fri, term time only. The main remit of the role is to assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, refectory, shop or café, as required. Serve food and beverages to customers following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation and combinations in line with brand standards and answer questions about the products Perform basic cold food preparation in line with Aramark brand standards Take payment and keep financial records as required Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise Clean back of house and retail areas Clean and tidy counter, light equipment and public areas Report to line manager any feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults or hazards identified Keeps diligent records as required Follows food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety requirements Undertake relevant training as required You’ll bring: Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but full training will be provided Food hygiene certificate – Level 2 is desirable (relevant training will be provided if you do not hold this certificate) An hourly rate of £12.60 Benefits app: discounts, online GP, mental health support and our EAP FOOD See what our chefs are cooking up If you already work for Aramark, you must notify your line manager before submitting your application.
