Location: Robinson Way Depot, Telford Way Industrial Estate, Kettering, NN16 8PP Client: North Northamptonshire Council Pay Rate: £16.35 PAYE / £20.79 Umbrella Overtime: 1.5x rate for anything over 37 hours Hours: 37 hours per week Job Type: Temporary – Vacant Post Cover Working Pattern: Tuesday to Friday (4-day week) with optional overtime on Mondays Shift: 6:30am – 4:30pm Start Date: 24th November 2025 End Date: 16th January 2026 The Role Driving a 7.5 tonne food pod vehicle on assigned routes Loading and emptying food pods as part of daily operations Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks Reporting defects and issues promptly Working safely at all times in line with council procedures Supporting wider fleet operations when required Essential Requirements Valid 7.5T licence (C1) – HGV drivers also considered DVLA web check required Right to Work in the UK CV required Willingness to assist with physical loading Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused No DBS required for this role.
