Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Senior procurement lead, to join a growing, forward-thinking business near Swindon. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced procurement professional to take the next step in their career, play a key role in a dynamic team, and make a real impact in retail fit-out projects.

This permanent role offers a hybrid working model and requires occasional international travel, so candidates must hold a valid passport and full UK driving licence.

Key Details

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + performance-related bonus

Location: Office near Swindon (hybrid working)

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Key Responsibilities

Lead procurement of goods and services to meet commercial and operational targets.

Drive strategic sourcing and manage supplier relationships.

Lead, coach, and mentor junior procurement team members.

Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, pricing, and rebate agreements.

Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors, Estimators, and other internal stakeholders.

Support procurement for key retail fit-out and construction projects.

Monitor supplier performance, delivery targets, and pricing compliance.

Develop procurement schedules based on project specifications and drawings.

Ensure adherence to internal processes and health & safety requirements.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong experience in a buying or procurement role.

Excellent Excel skills and general IT competency.

Proven ability to build supplier relationships and negotiate effectively.

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

CIPS, CIOB, or RICS qualification (or working towards) desirable.

Full UK driving licence required.

Minimum GCSE-level education.

Willingness to travel internationally as required.
