OverviewThe Vale Academy is looking to appoint a Teacher of PE to join our academy in February 2026 on a full time, temporary basis. The timetable will include 10 lessons of Health and Social Care per week (GCSE x1 and A Level x9).About the schoolThe Vale is a successful and high‑achieving 11–18 academy with an excellent reputation and a trend of high student outcomes, consistently above national averages. Provisional 2024 results show English and Maths performance well above national averages. The academy is situated in Brigg, North Lincolnshire, serving a largely rural community. The PE department is seeking to appoint a Physical Education Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave in February 2026. You should be able to inspire and excite young minds through strong teaching, build a positive culture, and help students grow in confidence for the future.The successful candidate will bring their skills as a Physical Education Teacher to our exciting, innovative and vibrant school. You will contribute with enthusiasm to the busy extra‑curricular life of the department and school, including after‑school fixtures. The ability to teach Physical Education across all age ranges and qualifications, including Cambridge Nationals and BTEC Health and Social Care, would be advantageous.The PE department delivers an effective and aspirational curriculum designed to inspire lifelong enjoyment of, and participation in, exercise and physical activity.
