Role: IT Support Engineer / IT Manager (Creative industry experience required)

Location: Shoreditch (2 days a week WFH, 3 days a week Shoreditch)

Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and solutions-driven IT Manager / IT Support Engineer who has previously worked in a similar role within the creative industry. We need someone to manage our evolving technological needs, ensuring seamless operations across all aspects of our business. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional technical support to our team, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and network systems, which are crucial for our marketing business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Support:
    1. Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving IT-related issues for employees, both on-site and remotely.
    2. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems promptly to minimize downtime.
    3. Manage incidents, problems, and service requests, prioritizing based on impact.
    4. Proactively monitor and maintain IT systems to prevent issues before they arise, implementing preventative maintenance and upgrades as necessary.
    5. Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
    6. Monitor system performance, ensuring optimal operation and security.
    7. Perform regular updates and patches to maintain system integrity.
    8. Oversee the company's network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity and security.
    9. Collaborate with external vendors, including Microsoft, Meraki, Azure, Optimity etc. for advanced network configurations and troubleshooting.
    10. Purchasing and managing laptops, including new starter set-up
    11. Implement and maintain cybersecurity protocols to protect company data and systems.
    12. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
    13. Ensure compliance with industry security standards and best practices.
    14. Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices to prevent security breaches.
  2. User Training and Support:
    1. Provide individual and group training sessions to staff on new technologies and best practices.
    2. Assist in onboarding new employees by setting up necessary hardware and software accounts.
  3. Documentation and Reporting:
    1. Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and support requests.
    2. Develop and update technical documentation and user guides as needed.

Required Qualifications and expertise:

  1. Previous experience in a similar role with a marketing services company is essential.
  2. Knowledge of network connectivity, protocols, network security devices, network types, and wireless.
  3. Proficiency in macOS, Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, Apple devices and common business applications.
  4. Experience with network management and troubleshooting.
  5. Strong understanding of IT Service Management practices.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  8. Excellent timekeeping and the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as SharePoint, Google Drive, Azure or AWS.
  2. Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.
