Midday Supervisor - Christchurch Junior School Join to apply for the Midday Supervisor - Christchurch Junior School role at Dorset Council. Start date: ASAP (subject to pre‑start checks). Contract term: Permanent. Working hours: 7.5 hours per week; 11:45 am – 1:15 pm Monday‑Friday. Weeks per year: School term times and Trust Training Days, excluding INSET days. Grade: Grade 1. Salary range: £24,413 (FTE); £4,148 (pro‑rata). Location: Christchurch Junior School. Reports to: Deputy Headteacher. We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team of 10 lunchtime supervision staff. The duties for this post will start at 11.45 and finish at 1.15, Monday to Friday. Pupils’ lunch break is between 12.10 and 12.55. Staff run a number of lunchtime activities each day to support lunchtime supervision. Children eat packed or hot lunches in our two halls. Lunch is divided into two sittings. Lunchtime supervisors are required to set up trestle tables, benches and chairs prior to the lunch break, and to clean and tidy away the furniture after children have eaten. For this reason, the post involves some lifting and handling. The team of Midday Supervisors is managed by a Senior Midday Supervisor. The team meets on a regular basis with the Deputy Headteacher so that information can be shared.
