Estimator Assistant

Overview Join to apply for the Estimator Assistant role at TieTalent. An entry point role within the Estimating and Preconstruction field is available with our Southampton-based client. This role provides a structured opportunity to develop your career into an Estimator or Contract Supervision role as your skills, experience and knowledge progress. Ideally you will have a background in construction or civil engineering, as you will need to understand the technical side of the role from day one. This is a niche role within a specific industry, so expect a steep learning curve. You will need to absorb information, be hard working and quick to learn. The role itself will be supporting the Senior Estimator for a company providing cutting-edge solutions to clients worldwide on anything from small-scale repairs to large infrastructure projects within the civil engineering industry. Responsibilities Able to interpret and understand clients' requirements Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings A good communicator as you will be interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels Used to working under pressure and to deadlines Utilising your strong numerical and analytical skills as well as your proficiency with Microsoft Office Able to drive - you need a full UK driving licence and car to attend site visits On offer Salary in the range £30,935pa to £36,512pa depending on experience and skills Working hours 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday Training and progression within a role which will afford you a great start to a career Pension Performance share scheme Employee Assistance Program Opportunity to travel 23 days paid holiday pro rata plus bank holidays Requirements and notes Although this is an Estimator Assistant position, it is not a junior role for someone with no engineering background.
