People Management – direct manage the PI team leaders, coach and develop managers, optimise recruitment and retention, and role‑model company values. Technical – provide guidance on PI issues, enforce policies and procedures, and collaborate with internal and external partners to uphold high quality legal services. Case Handling – manage a reduced workload (~25% of full capacity), liaise with clients and external parties, handle pre‑ and post‑issue procedures, pursue cases to conclusion, maintain accurate time recording, and keep client files in order per Lexcel and QA requirements. Delegate and supervise tasks to junior team members as appropriate. KPIs / Outcome Measures Delivery of key output metrics: Fees, Work Done, EBITDA, EBITDAW, Cases issued, Accepted cases, WIP to costs, Client satisfaction, Production, Telephone statistics. Relationships Clients, Marketing, Finance, People, Systems, Facilities, Compliance, Legal Strategy & Ops. Acts as a champion for good legal practice in Personal Injury cases. Governance group membership and collaboration with other senior leaders. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Experience of leading a Personal Injury team. Experience of managing a wide variety of personal injury claims – including Employers, Public Liability, and RTA. Ability to deliver excellent client service and grow team productivity. Experience of coaching and supporting lawyers and managers. Strong stakeholder relationship skills and role‑model leadership. Technology literacy and use of technology to enhance services.
