They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on skills to join their team in West London on a permanent basis.ResponsibilitiesUsing SolidWorks for concept design and producing technical drawingsDesigning large machinery and structuresLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projectsQualifications/RequirementsDegree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarAt least 2 years' experience in a similar Design / Mechanical Engineering positionExcellent proficiency with CAD software: ideally SolidWorksExperience in a heavy, technical engineering industry would be idealKnowledge of machinery designProven ability to drive Engineering developmentGood mathematical and general engineering knowledgeExcellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials: sheet metal, castings, machining etc.The ability to understand system requirementsBe self-motivated with excellent attention to detailHave excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenHow to applyIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible. #J-18808-Ljbffr
