£14.86 per hour – 40 hrs per week KYN Hurlingham, 28 Daisy Lane, London, SW6 3DD Spa Therapist – Permanent KYN is a brand-new care home company focused on offering an elevated approach to care: Individualised journeys built around the needs and interests of our residents in beautiful surroundings with life-enriching practices. KYN HURLINGHAM is our second home due to open in the first part of 2024. It’s a 32‑bedroom home offering each resident an elegant and comfortable bedroom, communal areas for dining and reclining. We have a further two care homes in development in London. About The Opportunity Support the Life and Enrichment Wellbeing Lead in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere and consistently delivering an exceptional spa experience/treatment for our residents Deliver a variety of spa services (e.g. manicures, pedicures, massages, and facials) to a high standard Support the Life Enrichment and Wellbeing Lead/Life Enrichment and Wellbeing Co‑ordinators in the implementation of a whole‑home approach to the provision of meaningful occupation for all residents, taking a proactive attitude towards the engagement of all residents at all times Support residents with a range of diagnoses, including dementia, and deliver spa treatments for residents who are cared for in bed Welcome, assist and handle residents’ queries and questions in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner Provide recommendations and advice to our residents on treatments and products, including additional services such as holistic health Ensure high standards of cleanliness and best practices are always maintained and that health and safety compliance and procedures are adhered to Have excellent communication skills and product and service knowledge to effectively provide wellness solutions to meet the needs of our residents Care for equipment and use appropriate amounts of product to assist with cost controls Schedule hairdresser appointments and liaise with relevant third parties Be flexible with your schedule, supporting the needs of the spa and Life Enrichment Team Support the team in leading life‑enriching activities and delivering hospitality services when needed Work effectively and efficiently without direct supervision Create a nurturing environment where our residents and their family members feel loved, happy, safe and secure Work as part of a team and communicate with other departments to ensure excellent quality and service Perform prep work and restock as required Undertake any administration and reception duties as requested, including liaising with residents and families to book spa treatments Attend training when required Be fully aware of and comply with rules and regulations Act as brand ambassador who demonstrates and leads the KYN values About You Experience working within a beauty therapy venue NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Beauty Therapy Professional, with a strong sense of delivering and maintaining high standards – keeping a safe, clean and compliant environment Strong communication skills, corporate and polite manner, and an eye for detail Trustworthy, caring, adaptable, friendly, patient and continually striving for excellence About Our Commitment To You Competitive salary and benefits 33 days annual leave including bank holidays Complimentary meals, hot drinks and snacks throughout your shift Custom‑made uniforms provided Annual bonus (discretionary and scheme rules apply) Employee assistance programme and other attractive wellbeing benefits Discount schemes Company contributory pension scheme & life insurance And much more… KYN is an equal opportunities employer.
