You will be the customer main point of contact while managing, coordinating and communicating with service and sales teams.You are responsible for ensuring contracts are delivered on time and within budget, that committed margins are achieved and exceeded, business through those contracts grows, contract renewals are captured and improved upon, opportunities are identified and captured, risk is managed and appropriately flowed into the supply chain and that customer expectations are met or exceeded at every stage.This specific role focuses on Defence maintenance contracts with the UK MoD and consequently UK Security Clearance is required.Specific Duties, activities and responsibilities Include but niot limited to:Oversee all aspects of commercial performance and financial management of specified service programmes and contracts including revenue management, demand planning forecasts, budgets, cost management and profit improvement.Develop detailed understanding of contracts and inform decision making to optimise the performance, cost and profitability of the contractEstablish suitable KPIs incl. revenue, cost, margin, delivery performance and customer satisfaction.Analyse, track and monitor contract and business performance in accordance with customer and internal business requirements and prepare monthly reports.Maintain a financial audit file to enable justification of costs to UK MoD as required.Produce plans and programme schedules for the timing and execution of the contracts incl. installs, maintenance, machine movements, inspections, depot repairs, upgrades, replacement, engineering changes and obsolescence management projects and co‑ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver.Ensure delivery to contract (incl. service delivery, invoicing and payment) in accordance with internal and external expectations, within time and budget constraints.Partner with respective internal stakeholders to address gaps and escalations in a timely fashion.Establish working arrangements with subcontractors and oversee any unique to contract subcontractor / service vendor deliverables, sub‑contracts and flow downConduct regular contract review meetings with customers and action as requiredWork with internal stakeholders to create and deliver improvements to contracts, opportunities to reduce costs, implement programs to create efficiencies.Analyse and track all contract risks, mitigate, flow down and escalates as appropriate. Track and monitor penalties and other contract non‑performance, lead initiatives to mitigate and negotiate with customers as applicableManage contract changes, renewals and renegotiations, draft and implement amendments, working within delegated authorities and operate business approvals processes.Co‑ordinate contract launch, review and closure.Identify and develop costed proposals for incremental business opportunities for the contracts and portfolio, work with sales teams to captureManage projects to develop global customer / strategic partner offerings and global framework agreements.Manage contract data and contribute to account plans, business forecasting and demand planning processes.Lead and contribute to functional development projects, tools and processes.About you:Education/Training:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalentExperience:Commercial management of contracts with UK MoD, their processes and accounting practicesManagement and optimisation of significant £m contracts for service, delivery of contract improvementsMaintenance, repair and overhaul business in a Defence market setting.Drafting business proposals and contract amendments, costingKnowledge/SkillsExceptional business and analytical skills.Financial and commercial acumen, cost management.UK MoD Single Source Regulations and contracting practicesProject and Programme ManagementPlanning and schedule managementSelf‑motivated and results‑drivenContract drafting basic understanding of contract lawContract review and negotiationChange management and business improvementProblem‑solving skills and able to think and perform under pressure while leading a team to deliver solutionsThe ability to engage, challenge and work effectively with others.Able to make effective, timely decisions by sourcing and analysing critical information.Excellent written and spoken English, outstanding communication skills.Self‑motivated, reliable, and accountable individualThe ability to build an effective network of relationships both internally and externallyTeamworking across geographic and organisational boundaries.Diversity & Inclusion:We believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
