Solicitor/Associate Solicitor (Disease Team) Apply for the Solicitor/Associate Solicitor (Disease Team) role at Thompsons Solicitors in Glasgow. This team supports individuals affected by lung disease or respiratory conditions that have been caused or worsened by their workplace. What The Role Involves Caseload Management: Work collaboratively with a professional team on a mix of pre‑litigation and litigation cases. Court Work: Gain hands‑on experience with cases in ASPIC and the Court of Session. Team Support: Contribute to training and mentoring of trainees. Investigations & Statements: Conduct liability investigations and gather witness statements. Medical Expert Coordination: Liaise with and instruct medical experts. Legal Documentation: Draft a range of legal documents, including writs. Court Appearances: Consult with Counsel and represent clients in court. Remuneration & Contract Salary: Solicitor - £44,812+; Associate Solicitor - £49,994+ depending on experience.Contract: Full‑time – Permanent.Hours: 35 hours per week. Experience in disease cases is advantageous, though candidates with a background in personal injury are also welcomed.
