The post holder will be a key member of PCCU, who will provide care to children and young people requiring high dependency and intensive care. The PCCU team is a fantastic team, who deliver expert care to our children and families whilst being supportive and kind to each other. The Band 6 Nurse will already be qualified in HDU and Paediatric Intensive Care nursing, have significant experience working as a Band 5 in PCCU and be able to demonstrate excellent leadership skills.Main dutiesBand 6 nurse will be responsible for demonstrating excellent leadership skills in the provision of care to young people and their families.Work well as part of the team, provide support and promote good wellbeing.Have a willingness to lead agreed projects related to practice and professional development.Have the desire to build on their previous experience.Act as a patient and carer advocate.About usSheffield Children's is one of three independent, specialist paediatric hospitals in the country.
