OverviewBusiness Apprentice (Trade Compliance) at Leonardo, Edinburgh, United Kingdom. Leonardo offers a range of Apprenticeships from 2-4 years across a variety of STEM and business routes, offering paid training, coupled with on-the-job learning that enables you to gain practical skills, experience and knowledge for a strong start to your career.Leonardo’s Trade Compliance Business Apprenticeship scheme provides a two-year programme with rotations through trade compliance areas, working on real projects alongside specialists. You will rotate around our trade compliance teams in Edinburgh and gain experience across different work/projects in the department. The role is based at our Edinburgh site with placement opportunities and support from the Apprentice team.What you will doRotate through trade compliance placements to gain exposure to different work/projects.Work within cutting-edge facilities and learn how business areas operate and collaborate to support projects.Liaise with customers and suppliers as part of project delivery.Study with an academic partner to complete a Business Level 3 Apprenticeship through day release and workplace experience.Throughout Year 1, gather real work evidence and reflective accounts describing day-to-day tasks and key business competencies.In Year 2, progress to a final placement focusing on a particular discipline and complete the apprenticeship assessment and final pieces of evidence.Work towards an SVQ in Business Management and an HNC in Business at Edinburgh College.Qualifications2 Higher Grades (or equivalent) Mandatory (A-C) Mathematics OR (A-C) English.Mandatory (A-C) Business subject (e.g., Business Studies, Project/Business Management, Finance, Accounts).Mandatory English and Maths Standard Grades (1-3) / National 5 (A-C).The starting salary for this role is £21,000.Security Clearance: This role is subject to pre-employment screening in line with the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS).
