Senior Quantity Surveyor - £10M Infrastructure Project Location: Manchester Contract Type: Permanent / Full-time We are seeking an accomplished Senior Quantity Surveyor to take the commercial lead on a £10M infrastructure scheme at Manchester Airport, involving significant earthworks and drainage. This is a high-profile role with full responsibility for managing project costs and ensuring commercial success from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Oversee commercial delivery, ensuring programme and budget targets are met. Lead NEC4 contract management (Option A), including forecasting, cost reporting, and administration. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to drive smooth project delivery. Identify cost efficiencies through value engineering and strategic procurement. Maintain robust risk management and contractual compliance processes. Mentor and guide Quantity Surveyors, encouraging best practice and professional growth. Provide accurate performance reports and strategic commercial insights to senior leadership. About You Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, preferably within civil engineering or infrastructure. Expertise in NEC4 Option A contracts. Skilled in managing budgets, particularly within subcontractor-led delivery. Strong understanding of cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting. Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities. Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or similar (RICS/CIOB desirable).
