Programme Structure Virtual learning Work on real‑life projects within the workplace Manufacturing Engineering Team This opportunity is part of the Manufacturing Engineering team within Siemens Rail Infrastructure. You will work with a wide variety of equipment and technologies to deliver product to various project teams across the UK and wider, migrating infrastructure to Industry 4.0 while ensuring safety and reliability. Responsibilities Migrate and create an infrastructure to Industry 4.0 standards Initiate and plan efficiency and reliability improvements across equipment and processes Champion and manage change and improvement activities within manufacturing Actively research new manufacturing technologies and process techniques Maintain production processes to ensure on‑time output Ensure software complies with Siemens protocols and cyber security requirements Essential Skills And Attributes Achieved or on track to achieve 3 A Levels at grade C and above with at least one STEM subject Achieved at least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including Maths and English Language Logical thinking, willingness to self‑learn and research, and a creative approach to problem solving Ability to work independently, safely and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and drive and lead change Enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions Your Journey Starts Here We operate a flexible benefits scheme where you can tailor your benefits package to suit, and all applicants for apprenticeship positions will be required to provide proof of qualifications achieved prior to any job offer being made.
