National Records of Scotland (NRS) are looking for an experienced individual to join the IT Delivery Team as a Delivery Manager. You will be responsible for the delivery of technical projects spanning the full range of technology domains, with an initial focus on cyber security projects. Bring demonstrable experience in the successful delivery of technical projects. Responsibilities Scope plan and deliver assigned projects from the ongoing IT Portfolio using the most appropriate delivery methods Support teams in managing and visualising outcomes effectively Function as a liaison with contracted suppliers and internal stakeholders Understand government department processes and third‑party involvement in projects Effectively manage stakeholder expectations and communication Produce resourced project schedules and report on project delivery to relevant governance Facilitate delivery flow and manage pace and tempo Address internal and external risks issues and dependencies proactively Provide delivery confidence and address blockers effectively Form and motivate teams effectively, creating conducive working environments and empowering teams Success profile Success profiles are specific to each job and they include the mix of skills, experience and behaviours candidates will be assessed on. Practitioner‑level ability in communicating between technical and non‑technical stakeholders, adeptly interpreting their needs, managing stakeholder expectations, handling both active and reactive communication and supporting or hosting difficult discussions within the team or with diverse senior stakeholders. 3. Practitioner‑level ability in keeping delivery momentum, helping the teams deliver flow and actively addressing internal and external risks issues and dependencies even when ownership exists outside the team. 4. Practitioner‑level ability in planning, understanding the environment and prioritising tasks using data, managing dependencies, supplying delivery confidence, addressing blockers and ensuring ability planning for teams. Pay supplement This post is part of the Scottish Government Digital Data and Technology (DDAT) profession. As a member of the profession you will join the professional development post which currently attracts a £5,000 annual DDAT pay supplement applicable after a 3‑month competency qualifying period. The payment will be backdated to your start date in the role.
