Trust Doctor (equivalent to ST3+) in General Surgery Applications are invited for the post of General/Colorectal Surgery Registrar based at Newham University Hospital. The post holder will have a 12‑month post (extendable) in the General Surgery department. Responsibilities include supporting Foundation School trainees, attending outpatient clinics and in‑patient operating lists, participating in research projects, and actively contributing to teaching and audit. The role involves a 1:8 on‑call commitment, exposure to a wide range of general surgical emergency work, and participation in surgically‑led endoscopy lists. Rotation will cover breast/endocrine surgery, gastro‑intestinal/minimally invasive surgery and colorectal surgery. Although not a recognised training post, the position offers opportunity for developing surgical skills and requires a strong academic commitment.
