Overview Autism Support Assistant A specialist school, located in Witney, is looking for a motivated graduate to join their team full-time as an Autism Support Assistant. You will play a pivotal role in supporting pupils with a primary diagnosis of Autism, helping to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student can thrive. This is a fantastic platform if you are looking to build a career in psychology, neurodiversity and mental health. Responsibilities Provide support for pupils on the autistic spectrum, both in and outside the classroom. Deliver 1:1 and wider group support, alongside teachers, therapists, psychologists and other specialist support staff. Help deliver specialist interventions, focused around emotional regulation and promoting self-expression. Support creative and engaging lessons across music, cooking, drama, dance and art. Assist with sensory learning and restorative practices as part of the curriculum. Roll out other therapeutic techniques commonly used in child psychology. Be proactive, versatile and confident in making the best choices to support students. About the Role As an Autism Support Assistant, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of qualified therapists and SEN specialists to support children with autism, learning difficulties and communication needs.
