You’ll help keep our estates clean, safe and vibrant across Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire, creating healthy outdoor spaces our residents can enjoy. Working 42.5 hours per week, this is a great opportunity to grow your horticultural skills while making a real impact in our communities. Key Responsibilities Deliver an outstanding grounds-maintenance and bulk waste removal service to our customers. Perform grass cutting, hedge maintenance, lawn edging, moss clearance, pruning, and maintenance of plants and shrubs, including spraying and gritting. Clear land areas earmarked for development. Assist in identifying sources of bulk waste so that re‑charging can be considered. Collaborate with customers to report estate matters. Carry out scheduled inspections and checks to keep estates safe. Work closely with colleagues to provide a brilliant service. Ensure all work is performed safely. Respond to other ad‑hoc site or customer requirements. What We’re Looking For Must haves Experience in grounds-maintenance and estate servicing. Knowledge of Health & Safety at work. Ability to work as part of a team. Full Clean Driving Licence. Physically fit enough to carry out manual handling tasks. Capability to identify risks, hazards and conduct emergency planning. Nice to haves Willingness to work towards social purpose goals helping the communities we serve. Availability to work extra hours and respond to emergency calls outside working hours. Desire to develop and progress in horticulture and broaden experience. Holding PA1 / PA6a Spraying Certification. Experience towing trailers. For added brilliance Holding a recognised horticultural qualification.
