Structural Engineer – Fairhurst, Leeds Fairhurst is one of the largest privately owned partnerships of consulting engineers in the UK, providing civil and structural engineering consultancy services across a range of specialist divisions. About the Role We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the Leeds office, focusing on career progression within a collaborative environment on exciting and varied projects across the UK. RESPONSIBILITIES Undertake structural analysis and detailed design for building and infrastructure projects in accordance with relevant building regulations, design standards, codes of practice and health and safety standards. Design input associated with preparation of technical drawings, specifications and reports. Carry out site inspections and liaise with contractors during construction. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high quality engineering solutions. Support Senior Engineers and mentor graduate engineers. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. Working towards Chartered status (MICE or MIStructE). Proven experience in structural design across a range of materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry). Strong knowledge of design software (e.g. TSD, Tedds etc.). Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage workload and deliver to deadlines.Previous experience in a UK consultancy. Full clean driving license.
