Senior Assistant Aseptic Services at East Sussex Healthcare NHS TrustThis is a great opportunity for a highly motivated and forward‑thinking individual to join the Pharmacy Aseptics team. Working alongside Support Workers, Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists, you will play an integral part in the supply of high‑risk injectable medicines to our Chemotherapy Day Units. Your role will help achieve our Team Vision: "Providing Quality Aseptic Services to Ensure Safe and Effective Patient Care" and will require strong teamwork and a desire to improve patient experience.ResponsibilitiesParticipating in the supply and production process of cytotoxic drugs in accordance with worksheets, Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practice.Supervising less experienced staff and apprentices.Dispensing ready‑to‑use chemotherapy and oral supportive medications.Participating in the pre‑process and in‑process checks in relation to the production process and the equipment used.Maintaining stock levels and ordering.QualificationsA NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services is desirable; the successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain this qualification in the first few months in the role.Applicants will need to complete NVQ2 in pharmaceutical sciences if not already held; training can be completed whilst in post.BenefitsStaff development and training opportunities.Enrolment in the NHS pension scheme and auto‑enrolment to the Temporary Workforce Service.Access to onsite nurseries, staff restaurants and accommodation.Free psychological support via the Employee Assistance Programme.Onsite parking available from £50 a year.Statement on the Use of AIWe value the individuality that each candidate brings to the application process.
