You will join a diverse team of designers creating world-class digital solutions for secure government customers.Whether working as a UX Designer, a Lead UX/Service Designer or User Researcher, candidates are expected to apply User-Centred Design (UCD) methodologies across all phases of delivery—from research through to implementation—ensuring alignment between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate user-friendly, innovative design solutions that address complex challenges.Develop and present design concepts through wireframes, prototypes, and visual presentations.Evaluate and improve existing digital products with a focus on usability, inclusivity and accessibility.Conduct user research and testing to inform design decisions (e.g., interviews, usability testing, journey mapping).Lead and analyse usability testing, stakeholder interviews, and other user-centered design methods.Identify opportunities to improve the user experience and deliver business value.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, conduct knowledge sharing and mentoring of junior staff.Present design solutions to clients, backed by research and best practices.Advocate for user needs while aligning with business goals.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field (preferred).Strong knowledge of user-centered design methods and tools.Proficient in design software such as Figma.Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.Security ClearanceDue to the nature of our work, successful candidates for this role will be required to hold an active eDV before applying for this opportunity.How we will support youWork-life balance is important; you can work around core hours with flexible and part-time working, and many of our roles include hybrid working enabling a mix of working from home and in the officeYou'll get 25 days holiday a year and the option to buy/sell and carry over from the year beforeOur flexible benefits package includes private medical and dental insurance, a competitive pension scheme, cycle to work scheme, taste cards and moreYou'll have a dedicated Career Manager to help you develop your career and guide you on your journey through BAEYou'll be part of our company bonus schemeYou are welcome to join any/all of our Employee Resource groups.
