Salary: Support Staff Pay Scale B - £12.65 per hour (plus holiday pay) Contract: Casual Contract, Variable Hours Start Date: March 2026 Overview King Edward VII Academy is recruiting reliable and hardworking people to join our exam invigilation team. The role involves invigilating external and internal examinations as well as providing assistance as scribes or readers to students who need extra support in exams. The main examination period is May and June, but invigilators are also required during mock exams in November and February/March. Commitment to be available during these periods is essential. Responsibilities Ensure the fair and proper conduct of exams in an environment that enables students to perform at their best. Ensure that exams are carried out in accordance with the rules set out by the examination boards and King Edward VII Academy. Be punctual for duty and reliable. Qualifications Good numeracy and literacy levels. Good communication skills. Attention to detail. Flexible approach to work. Computer literacy – occasional use of computers. Previous experience helpful but not essential; training will be provided. Commitment Availability required for mock exams in November and February/March, and for May and June (peak period).
