Location: Royton, Oldham
We're partnering with a fast-paced FMCG manufacturing company to recruit a Maintenance Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical background. This is a hands-on, dual-skilled role involving both mechanical and electrical maintenance across the site. You'll be responsible for a mix of planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance, as well as troubleshooting breakdowns across a variety of systems. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is essential, as you'll be working with both on a regular basis.
In addition to day-to-day maintenance, you'll also get involved in engineering projects aimed at driving continuous improvement and identifying the root causes of recurring issues. The business is known for developing its team, offering strong training programs, clear career progression, and genuine opportunities to grow within the company.
Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:
Experience with both mechanical and electrical maintenance
Experience carrying out PPMS and attending Breakdowns
Must have an engineering qualification
Industrial/ Manufacturing Background
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to diagnose and repair faults across a range of equipment
