Joining Waterman Aspen as Civil Engineer will see you as a key member of the Water and Environment North team and you can expect:A varied client base where you can apply and develop your skillsBuy-in from clients to assist in your technical progressionFurther exposure to your chosen industry – increasing your awareness, knowledge and sharpening your skillsCareer development and training to reach your professional or academic qualification goals supported by our own network of mentors and managersPaid subscription to a professional body of your choiceDegree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.Working toward Chartership (ICE, CIWEM or equivalent) or recently chartered.Experience in the design or construction of wastewater assets within a regulated water company environment.Familiarity with AMP cycles and water industry infrastructure delivery frameworks.Understanding of CDM regulations, construction techniques, and temporary works considerations.Solid grounding in civil engineering design principles.Good working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g. BS EN, Eurocodes, DMRB, SuDS Manual).Proficient in software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (InfoDrainage), and MS Office.Strong communication and team collaboration skills.Experience with 3D design and digital delivery (e.g. BIM, Navisworks, ProjectWise).Familiarity with sustainable design, carbon reduction strategies, and nature-based solutions.Previous involvement in frameworks or alliance delivery models (e.g. D&B contracts with Tier 1 contractors).As a salaried colleague, you’ll get a salary in line with your experience, skills and location along with an industry-leading benefits package:Contribution to commuting mileagePermanent health insurance25 days annual leave (option to buy up to 5 more), in addition to the normal public holidays (based on a 40 hour week, pro rata for part-time colleagues)Company pension contributionSalary sacrifice to buy additional benefits1 paid Waterman Aspen in the Community Day to volunteer in your local communityWe have big plans for the future and we’d love for you to be part of it.
