OverviewTop 50, award-winning, UK law firm with over 700 lawyers nationally wishes to recruit a newly or recently qualified Commercial Real Estate Lawyer in their Chelmsford office. You will assist with a busy caseload within the Charity Real Estate team, which comprises two senior lawyers who specialise in advising charities and other not-for-profit organisations on their land and property dealings.This role offers the opportunity for one-on-one learning and mentoring, with scope to work with colleagues across the firm and a clear path for career advancement.ResponsibilitiesBuying and selling property for investment or occupational purposesLandlord and tenant issues for charities and not-for-profitsStrategic developmentCompliance with charity law in the context of land and propertyCollaborative work on complex projects with the Charities team, such as the property aspects of charity mergers, incorporations, restructures and closuresQualificationsThe candidate0 – 4 PQE gained within a strong regional, national or City firm with experience in some or all of the following real estate areas:Commercial landlord and tenant workInvestment and asset managementGeneral commercial property developmentExperience of acting for banks and/or borrowers in secured lending mattersKnowledge of providing property support as part of corporate transactionsNo prior experience of charity law is necessary as this can be taught.Benefits25 days holiday (FTE) plus Bank Holidays (rising to 30 days)Long service holiday award – 1 extra week every 10 years continuous servicePrivate healthcare with BUPA (offered after probation is passed)Staff profit share and individual performance bonus schemeSalary sacrifice (pensions, staff profit share)Life assurance – 4 x salary / permanent health insurancePaid CSR dayEnhanced maternity/paternity leaveSubsidised gym membershipElectric car schemeAgile/Hybrid Working PolicyDress for your day policy #J-18808-Ljbffr
