The successful Physics Teacher will play a key role in developing students’ understanding of the physical world and their scientific inquiry skills. Job Title Physics Teacher Location Dorking, Surrey Department Science Contract Type Full-time, Permanent What We're Looking For A qualified teacher (holding QTS or equivalent). Experienced in teaching Physics at Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5 (A‑Level Physics). Passionate about Physics and able to inspire students of all abilities. An excellent classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management skills. Committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love of science and scientific inquiry. A collaborative team player who is willing to contribute to the wider school community. Dedicated to their own professional development. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging Physics lessons across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback. Maintain accurate records of student attainment and progress. Create a positive and inclusive classroom / laboratory environment that promotes scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem‑solving. Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Science department and across the school. Contribute to the development of the Physics curriculum and resources. Ensure the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and materials. Communicate effectively with parents / guardians regarding student progress. Adhere to the school's safeguarding policies.
