While working alongside our other experienced technicians, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and carrying out any additional repairs.Here at Lookers Newcastle Audi you will be reporting to the service manager, and you will be given on-going support to ensure that you have the tools needed to be able to perform to the very best of your ability We can also offer you excellent career progression and training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes, as well as Hybrid & Electric training to accelerate your career furtherOur Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics play a vital role within our Service team by delivering first class customer service every time. If you’re a qualified Vehicle Technician or an experienced Mechanic, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from youResponsibilities may include:Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehiclesCarrying out checks in line with manufacturers guidelinesFitting any additional accessories requested by the customerVehicle health check and report any further work which may be requiredChecks on the vehicles' lights, tyre pressure, mechanical and electrical componentsCompleting minor repairs on new and used vehiclesAbility to understand and carry out basic diagnosis in both mechanical and electrical workConducting vehicle service in accordance with manufacturers guidelines and customer requestsCarrying out any additional repairs once authorised by the customerWarranty repairs are per the manufacturer’s guidelines and relevant write up is completeTaking the customers vehicle out on a road test to ensure all faults are rectifiedComplete all relevant paperwork to a high standardThe ideal candidate will have prior experience working within an automotive workshop. You\'ll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards. You will require a full UK driving licence and completion of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
