Student Experience Advisor Location: Wellingborough Salary: £23,557 – £25,849 per annum (Pro‑Rata, DOE & Qualifications) Contract: Permanent – Term Time Hours: 20 hours per week, 40 weeks per year Expires: 17/12/2025 23:59 About the Role We are currently seeking a Student Experience Advisor to join our Student Services department at the Bedford College Group on a fixed‑term basis. As a Student Experience Advisor, you play an important role in the success of our students through a variety of supportive and strategic functions. Responsibilities Provide careers guidance and progression support, including impartial advice, UCAS assistance and designing a cross‑college careers programme. Offer pastoral, financial and welfare support, assessing applications for bursaries, benefits and HE funding, and referring students to appropriate services. Engage stakeholders and communicate with tutors, internal teams and external agencies to promote opportunities, deliver staff development and represent the college at events. Support service development and quality assurance by collecting and reporting data, maintaining safeguarding records, ensuring policy compliance and contributing to strategic projects. Assist with college‑wide responsibilities such as enrolment, open days, invigilation and safeguarding while upholding equality, health & safety and ongoing professional development. Qualifications & Skills Level 2 English and Maths; Level 3 qualification in a relevant subject; working towards or holding a Level 6 CEIAG qualification and Youth Mental Health First Aid certification. Excellent communication skills with students and staff at all levels, written correspondence, and a professional telephone manner. High‑level administrative, planning and event coordination abilities with strong attention to detail and deadline management. Experience supporting diverse groups, both in one‑to‑one and group settings, with proficiency in Word, Excel and database systems. Friendly, flexible, reliable attitude, commitment to safeguarding, equality and continuous improvement, and willingness to travel across sites and adapt working hours.
