Lecturer in Accounting & Finance – Leeds Department: Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) Location: Leeds – On site Type of Contract: Full-Time, Permanent (40 hours per week). The Role: We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BA (Hons) Accounting & Finance programme. Flexibility to teach weekdays, evenings, and weekends is required. What you'll be doing As a Lecturer in Accounting & Finance, you will engage in learning, teaching and assessment of students, keep up to date with latest developments, and support students. Experience delivering core accounting modules such as Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit or similar is desired. Responsibilities Planning, delivering, and assessing student work to meet learning outcomes. Developing, updating, and improving course materials. Using a variety of teaching methods/materials. Actively engaging in staff development, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties. Staying current with developments in your field and student support practices. Working towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and progression. About You Hold a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the UK or equivalent. Previous UK HE lecturing experience delivering core accounting modules. Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter. Experience supervising student work, providing support and feedback. Accurate reporting and maintenance of thorough student records. Ability to work under pressure, plan, and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills. Ability to work with diverse groups of people. Desirable Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a programme in probation). Fully qualified from PSRB affiliates such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, IFA. What We Offer 25 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays. 1-day extra leave per year of service, up to 5 days.
