We’re looking for a driven and hands‑on Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor to help us deliver excellence on every project. The position will be based at our factory in Marton, Shropshire. As the Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in leading day‑to‑day production activities on the cutting line. You’ll ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate processing of timber components, driving productivity and maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities Supervise, motivate, and support the cutting shopfloor team to achieve daily and weekly production targets. Ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of materials and machinery. Monitor production output and quality, addressing issues proactively. Enforce health and safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture. Support staff training and development to build a multi‑skilled, high‑performing team. Liaise with production planning to maintain workflow and minimise downtime. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, accuracy, and efficiency. Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as required. About You Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing environment (timber frame or wood processing experience highly desirable). Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent understanding of production processes, machinery, and workflow management. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Organised, proactive, and hands‑on approach to problem‑solving. Competent in using production data and reporting systems.
