Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services
Location: Stanmore
Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE
We’re looking for a talented and motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our clients established building services design team in Stanmore. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with at least 2 years of experience in the industry who’s ready to take ownership of projects, work closely with clients, and develop their technical and design skills within a supportive consultancy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver detailed electrical building services designs, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, data, and security systems.
Prepare design calculations, technical specifications, and drawings in accordance with current standards and regulations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary design teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality building services solutions.
Contribute to project meetings, client presentations, and design reviews.
Assist in mentoring junior engineers and developing innovative, energy-efficient design solutions.
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations, BS standards, and sustainability objectives.What we’re looking for:
Degree or HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a building services design consultancy environment.
Competent in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Amtech.
Strong understanding of relevant UK standards and design guides (CIBSE, IET Wiring Regulations, etc.).
Good communication and coordination skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Eligible to work in the UK and based within commutable distance of Stanmore.Benefits:
