Retail Assistant – Part Time, Early Starts We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Stanley, Durham. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 12 hours over 3 days per week, including weekends. The role requires availability for early morning start times. Help customers locate items. Provide fast, friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a friendly thank‑you and goodbye. Handle stock and deliveries, placing products in freezers and on shelves ready for customers. Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy. What You’ll Need A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach. Enjoy being busy – jump between deliveries, till, shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation. Reliability – be an important part of a small team; avoid letting the team down. Flexibility – be prepared to shift slightly if colleagues are on holiday; rota planned three weeks in advance.
