About the Role:
Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Wickford. This is a full-time position, ideal for a teacher who is enthusiastic about inspiring students to develop a love for English language and literature.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students achieve their academic potential and build essential communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare, and deliver dynamic English lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Teach both English Language and Literature to a range of abilities across KS3 and KS4.

Create a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.

Assess, record, and report on student progress and attainment.

Support students in developing strong literacy and analytical skills.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop engaging schemes of work and resources.

Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and effort.

Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.

Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

Experience teaching English at secondary school level (KS3-KS4).

Strong subject knowledge and passion for English Language and Literature.

Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

Commitment to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
