Contracts Manager – Tier 1 Main Contractor (Cambridge Region)
Location: Cambridge Region (Projects in Sawston & Thurston)
A leading Tier 1 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their Cambridge region. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, multi-sector main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the UK.

The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will oversee two major projects within the region:

£30M Office Development – Sawston College
*
£63M DfE Education Project – Thurston
You will be responsible for the overall management, delivery, and performance of these projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role will involve close liaison with clients, design teams, project teams, and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage multiple project teams to deliver successful outcomes
*
Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within financial targets
*
Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
*
Provide leadership and strategic direction to project teams
*
Oversee all commercial, contractual, and operational aspects of the projects
*
Support and mentor Project Managers and Site Managers
About You
*
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager ready to step up) within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Main Contractor
*
Strong track record of delivering large new-build projects (£30M+)
*
Experience in the education sector (DfE or similar frameworks) is highly desirable
*
Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills
*
Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
