Infant Feeding Co-ordinator – Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS TrustThe post holder will work with the Infant Feeding Lead to develop and align the infant feeding offer within the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough 0-19 services as part of the Universal Public Health Nursing Offer. This includes working in partnership with the Infant Feeding Lead responsible for achieving and maintaining full BFI accreditation and progressing to Gold.The post holder will provide day-to-day supervision and line management to the Infant Feeding Team which supports families with complex feeding needs, facilitate training to families and professional teams.To provide specialist clinical leadership across the Health Visiting Service and take an active role in developing systems and practices that promote continuous improvement in service delivery which minimises harm to patients and improves patient experience & outcomes.The post holder will be responsible for supporting the Infant Feeding Lead in achieving and maintaining full Baby Friendly accreditation leading to sustainability accreditation.Should we receive a high number of applications we reserve the right to close this vacancy at any point after the 27th November.Provide advanced, research-based clinical practice and professional support in line with NMC standards.Lead on standard setting, clinical audits, and benchmarking—particularly in infant feeding and relationship building—to ensure evidence-based care and quality assurance aligned with clinical governance.Conduct family and staff audits, develop action plans from feedback, and adapt services to meet evolving community needs.Champion co-production in service development and promote innovative, responsive practices. Utilize IT to inform practice and support public health targets.Contribute to the Infant Feeding Team across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, aligning with national/local guidance (e.g., Healthy Child Programme, Every Child Matters). Support policy development for Baby Friendly standards and ensure adherence to the International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes. Collaborate on interagency care planning for vulnerable children. Mentor and supervise staff on Baby Friendly standards. Lead public health initiatives tied to national targets. Communicate complex information effectively, using negotiation and conflict resolution to support UNICEF Baby Friendly accreditation. Address diverse communication needs and promote achievements toward Gold accreditation. Manage personal and team workload flexibly. Perform additional duties as directed by the Baby Friendly Lead.
